RF microneedling, also known as fractional radiofrequency, is a great option for
combining skin plumping and tightening.
At Skin Essentials, we offer two forms of RF Microneedling:
It works in two main ways – the skin needling modality is similar to that of our conventional medical grade skin needling (hyperlink to that service here) while the RF works beneath the surface of the skin, to heat and stimulate collagen and elastin production from beneath – this is why it can work well to improve acne scars, stretch marks, large pores and early skin sagging due to ageing.
At Skin Essentials, we use the Vivace RF microneedling device which has 36 gold plated needles (conventional skin needling needles use 12-14) in combination with RF to a depth of as much as 3.5mm AND combines LED light for either skin rejuvenation (red) or acne specific treatment (blue).
Used with numbing beforehand, RF microneedling is a comfortable treatment that takes around 30-45 minutes depending on the area(s) being treated.
As with all skin therapies, we recommend 3-6 monthly sessions initially for results, which may be visible as early as two weeks and which will continue for 3-6 months afterwards as collagen induction continues in the deeper layers. Thereafter, you may wish to use it as part of your maintenance regimen 1-2 times/ year.

Skin Essentials will reopen the week beginning 11th October 2021.
Per NSW government regulations, only double vaccinated patients will be served when we reopen and we will be checking vaccination certificates for all patients upon booking. This requirement may change as of December 1st, and we will advise you accordingly.
Please email us (contact@skinessentials.com.au) or text us (0413174654) your vaccination certificate as soon after booking as you can. We will not be able to see anyone for treatments or confirm appointments without this.
