  This appointment type is for skin problems and some medical concerns upto 30 minutes $279 rebate $80.10 if Medicare eligible.
  
  Who is this appointment for?
  
  - skin disorders - acne, pigmentation, redness, acne scarring
  
  - medical concerns - excessive sweating (armpits, hands, feet etc), teeth grinding, hay fever etc
  
  - hair loss consultation and treatment planning
  - more extensive skin lesions and skin checks (please contact us if unsure)
  
  If there are multiple issues to cover, you may need more than one appointment to address them all eg hair loss + sweating + acne.
  
  Any additional treatment, products is an extra fee to be discussed with you on the day prior to commencing.
  
  By proceeding you accept that this prepaid fee is forfeit for late cancellations and rescheduling within 3 business days and no-shows without exception.
- Initial Consultation - Skin Cancer Check Only
  $121.00

  For patients wanting a straightforward regular skin cancer checks and/or removal of any moles and skin lesions. Please do not use this to book a review appointment if you are a current patient.
  
  No referral needed to access your Medicare rebate if eligible.
  
  Fee : $121 upto 15 minutes
  Medicare rebate $41.40
  
  Any biopsy, if needed, will be an extra GAP fee of $55 per biopsy.
  
  Removal of skin tags etc are not covered by Medicare and are an extra cost to be quoted on the day from $200 per first lesion & $50 for subsequent lesions at the same appointment.
  
  The appointment fee is prepaid and redeemed on the day at your consultation.
  
  Fees related to any additional procedures or time spent will be settled at the end of the consultation.

  Dr Joshi graduated from the University of Sydney in 2001 and was an accredited trainee in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Women and Babies) until 2012 when she switched to General Practice.
  
  In 2014, she began looking into Cosmetic Services, in part because she missed using the surgical skills she acquired during her years in O&G, partly due to her passion for skin and preventive care.
  
  She divides her time now between working as a GP, counselling a number of patients for psychotherapy, teaching GP trainees and Skin Essentials, which she founded in 2019.
  
  Since the Covid19 pandemic, Dr Joshi has worked exclusively from her clinic at Liverpool, offering services in both cosmetic medicine including skin checks, skin excisions and minor cosmetic procedures as well as contraception such as IUDs under local anaesthetic, some of which attract a Medicare rebate.
  
  Additionally she offers sessions in psychotherapy for long term therapy for patients that attracts Medicare rebates under the safety net cap each calendar year.
