About Dr. Imaan Joshi

I obtained my medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2001. Over the next few years, I trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology between 2004-2011, when, at an advanced stage, I switched to General Practice training.
I qualified as an FRACGP in 2014 and since then, divide my time between working in General Practice 2 days a week, educating GP trainees with clinical visits and helping with exam preparation as well as skin work, which I’m passionate about.
In 2015, I undertook training in Cosmetic Medicine as a I saw a need for patients to be better informed and aware of the potential for subtle rejuvenation while minimising risks in a medical setting that respects the fact that it’s an area with rare but significant risks.
Cosmetic treatments are not just vanity, but inform the way you look and feel and I take the time to understand both. As I entered my 40s, and my children needed me less, I became aware, like most women, of the need and desire to care better for myself in a way that helped me like what I see in the mirror.
At Skin Essentials, consultations are $65 for 30 minutes, and the cost is redeemable towards any treatment.
The skin is our largest organ and one we often neglect, and it is the initial focus of my care when we begin working together, as it forms the canvas for my craft by way of injectables and more.
I hope to add to the list of services as we grow, and for now, we offer medical grade skin care, medical grade microneedling and peels to address concerns such as ageing, acne, rosacea and pigmentation, as well as injectables, fat dissolving and thread lifts.
Anti- wrinkle treatments begin from $160/ area (forehead) so book in today and take advantage of my obligation free facial assessment as well as treatment plan to fit your budget if you decide to proceed.

  • I take the time to get to know you, and work with you on what you can expect from treatments.
  • An intimate knowledge of facial anatomy means I am aware of possible risks and complications of any procedure and also how to handle it if it occurs.
