Our guiding principle at Skin Essentials is based on Dr Imaan’s decades of experience across a surgical speciality as well as her years as a specialist GP with additional training in both psychotherapy, skin cancer and  dermatology. 

Dr Imaan is an AHPRA registered specialist medical practitioner (MED0001186877) and takes her ethical obligations for patient centered care very seriously which focuses on the long term therapeutic relationship based on trust to provide you with the best care possible. 

Her experience in psychology also means that she uses this training informally during consultations to assess your readiness to do the work, especially for essentially optional medical treatments such as skin and medical aesthetics.

It is important you understand that results will be 6-12 weeks begin to see and 9-12 months to peak, and then require your ongoing commitment to maintain. 

Our strong focus is on comprehensive care for your face and skin, from prevention to rejuvenation and restoration over the short and longterm.

If you are not in a good place to be able to commit to this, or if what you need is outside the scope of our practice, we’ll advise of this in consultation with alternatives if it’s appropriate to do so. 

Our goals in working with you are a longterm therapeutic relationship based on realistic needs and desired goals.
