FFA® Readiness Checklist
Ok!
So you’ve read our blog posts and been following us on Instagram for a while contemplating your own FFA® journey.
How do you know when you are ready to take the jump and request a consultation?
Some things to know:
- You can never be truly ready. Most things in life that are important to us are done despite a lack of readiness. We do them because they are important enough to us that we are willing to trade having them for some other equally important things.
- If you are a woman who has chosen to have children, you will understand this readily because having children is a massive setback physically and financially for most of us.
So what do you need to know about when to begin?
We have some ideas, listed below.
Our comprehensive Full-Face Aesthetics (FFA®) Readiness Checklist helps you evaluate if you’re ready—physically, mentally, and logistically—for your own full-face rejuvenation journey:
Aesthetic Readiness Checklist
Mindset & Goals
- I have realistic expectations (enhancement and improvement, not perfection).
- I understand full-face treatments are gradual and will require ongoing maintenance. Ie they are not “one and done”.
- I want to look refreshed, not “done”, “frozen” or “fake”
Medical & Lifestyle Factors
- I am in generally good health with no major unmanaged conditions.
- I am not pregnant or breastfeeding nor planning to be.
- I don’t smoke (or I’m willing to stop
- I have no active skin infections, rashes, or cold sores. I don’t pick at skin sores.
- I am not taking blood thinners or can pause them safely if needed.
- Medical conditions, if any, are managed and stable including anxiety/ depression.
Treatment-Specific Considerations
- I have consulted with a qualified, experienced healthcare practitioner about my concerns.
- I understand what each treatment involves including downtime, common side effects and risks.
- I know the difference between temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent procedures.
- I’ve been advised on which areas of my face will benefit from treatment.
Financial Readiness
- I have budgeted for both initial treatment and maintenance and have a plan in place for continuing to do this.
- I understand that quality providers cost more but reduce risk of complications.
- I’m aware that combination treatments often yield better results (and cost more upfront).
Timing & Downtime
- I’ve scheduled treatments with enough time to heal before important events.
- I understand recovery timelines (e.g., swelling, bruising).
- I have no upcoming flights/travel or dental work soon after treatment
Skincare Readiness
- I use SPF daily and follow a basic skin care routine.
- I’m willing to invest in skin quality
- I am open to addressing active acne or rosacea as needed.
Facial Harmony Understanding
- I’ve had a full-face aesthetics (FFA®) analysis (not just one area).
- I understand how facial balance and proportion affect beauty.
- I’m open to recommendations beyond my “main concern area.”
Documentation
- I understand that photos will need to be taken to track baseline and progress photos in clinic.
- I understand that results are progressive and subtle changes may take time – months, occasionally longer.
- I understand that results are variable and depend on my willingness to follow the suggested plan and to do the necessary work between appointments.
How many of the list above did you tick? This guide is purely for you, to help you understand what is required for your own FFA® from you, in addition to what you ought to expect from your doctor or clinician.
Then, it is a matter of scheduling an appointment to begin the next step. We do not know if we are ready until we begin.
